Not good either, but not bad. Growing up in CyberCore I learned a lotta life lessons. Like the reason we had a quaint little home was due to my parents being drafted by one of the gangers at the time. Before that, dad was in the factories and mom was a low level performer. So you know there's the life of making sure other kids knew who was in charge, nobody pushing me around. Even bigger kids. The bigger the better. Scared the life out of the little ones just watching me try to shove some punk's scrapyard drone up his own ass. But not the other gangers' kids. We had to look out for each other that way. Mom still had her singing voice so of course the gang rented her out for shows. She worked her way up a little higher that way. Dad was a driver and repairman. He was good with vehicles. The down side to all this was, of course, technically the gangers owned us. Young me was pissed off. I didn't want to belong to anybody but my parents insisted we were gangers and I better act like one. So not long after I turned 19, I grabbed a duffel, my phone, and my clothes and out I went. I knew the gang's patrol routes so I just weaseled out and avoided them all. They had other gangs to worry about anyway. Young me maybe also wasn't the smartest. I mean I had no credits to my name. But I gathered some talents from my folks growing up. I got my mother's figure, her gift of persuasion, my dad's habit of tinkering, and his stubborn confidence. When I started streetwalking, all I had for protection was a knife I found unattended at a random safe house. But then I started earning credits of my own. I had taken shooting lessons from the gangers, so I bought a gun. I suffered no abuse or humiliation. It made things pretty good for me and it wasn't long until I owned a vehicle and a couple little gadgets. That helped me with a side gig of running packages and messages. To top it off I even had a pet rat for about 2 years. I miss Humvee. They're super smart, rats. And see what happened? I'm 63. They don't come after my booty like they used to. Something about stretch marks and owning a gun bigger than theirs. But my eyes are still great and I haven't lost my driving skills. Better watch out, Honey, cuz I'm still in the game."
