The Glitch started out innocently enough a background program to entice the user into wanting to purchase more products but as more and more cyber was add the more sentient The Glitch became and now nags about the logical decision to forgo living tissue in favor of the metal cyber to prolong the life and capability of our existence as well as the existence of every other living person in this city and beyond.
Jas can remember her first cyberware. New eyes. She’d been obsessed since she was a kid. Something about the eyes was mesmerizing. While her parents were at work, she used to visit anywhere she could that displayed any kind of cyberware and just spend her days studying the nuances of the different pieces and dreaming about what she’d want. James Newill was a cyberware distributor that took kindly to Jas, so much so that he did the kindest thing you can in this city, once she was old enough, he offered her a job. Of course she wouldn’t be paid at first, but James promised her she could have her pick of cyberware (within reason of course) and work as his assistant to pay off the cost. This eventually evolved to Jas actually Installing cyberware, allowing James to greatly expand his operations from just distribution.
Jas can’t remember quite when The Glitch first appeared. It was hard for her to notice, at first, she thought it was just nightmares. She’d dream of being lost in space or caught in a fight and would agonize over what she saw. This led her to further indebt herself to James Newill as she’d be tormented with new visions, she’d compensate with more cyberware. It took some time, But eventually she realized not all her thoughts were her own. It wasn’t until she made the decision to stop accepting James’s offer, that the glitch truly revealed itself. As she was working up the courage to tell him, she felt a different kind of panic rise, one that led her to be worried for her own health, she pushed it aside as she had made up her mind and The Glitch was forced to make its move. It spoke. To her? Through her? Either way, It made a very compelling argument for one last modification. A medical support readout, to ensure her own safety no matter what state she may be in. It took several years but she managed to pay off her debts to James and in that time a shared dream had formed. She wanted to strike out on her own, run her own corp. One that specialized in all things cyberware. She had a dream of the future, a future of chrome. The Glitch had the same goal and it maybe meant it more than she did. To this end, Jas formed Magpie Electrical, Little more than a name at the moment but one that would enable their future. Now, they just need funding…
Jas Is a 29 year old caucasian woman with nearly shoulder length blonde hair and a heavy amount of cyberware installed.
